I don’t have a cool rap like the fresh prince to tell you about out what we do or how we got the idea, but hopefully I can explain below.
I’ve always been a fan of building things using bricks since I was young, and now that I’m “grown up” (and I use the term loosely) I found the idea to create a brick mosaic portrait hugely appealing but got put off by a few things;
- the price tag
- the fact I’d have to make a long journey
- the limitation of what my photo could be
- rise of the machines… (mosaic maker)
That got me thinking… What would happen if the Great British weather was at its finest and my truly awesome bouffant got knocked out of sorts, how would that look?
Well, why can’t you send a picture (any picture, a cat, dog, mum, “that” photo which has been your profile pic… you get the idea) and a few days later its in the post and on your doormat and ready for you to build! Best of all, by using compatible bricks, the portrait still looks on point, and you’ve saved a few quid towards whatever floats your boat.
So that’s it, though you’ve probably my got YouTube open and part way through the fresh prince theme music, right?
