Where it all began…
The following should help to explain what we are all about, how we came about, beacause sometimes, it’s just good to know the story behind the brand.
So, you’re here undoubtedly wondering what exactly we offer and what we do, and why. So to tell a bit of a story of how we came about should give you a fairly good idea, and if you still want to know more, simply get in touch with us. Because we’re really quite friendly!
We originally seen an episode on TV about a particular market leading toy manufacturer that produces toys consisting of plastic bricks. During the programme they showcased their latest innovation in the form of a machine that took your picture and then through some epic code and jiggory pokery, created a kit consisting of an image, instructions and also counted out the bricks required to create your very own brick mosaic portrait. All very clever, with great looking mosaics as a result.
Great! we thought. However, because the cost of one of these seemed quite expensive, then factoring in you can only get these done by booking a slot at one of two locations many, many miles from where we are and the idea starts to seem less appealing.
So that got us thinking, why not swap out the branded bricks for compatible bricks. Then, while we are at it, remove the need to travel to a location to create and purchase.
So that’s what we did!
We’re YOUR Mosaic Maker.
Now you can use any* picture you like, meaning from the comfort of your own home you can get a bespoke brick mosaic portrait delivered to your door. No booking, no travel. Just relax with a cuppa, decide on a photo you’d like to use and leave the rest to us.
Your portrait will be created by us, complete with instructions and all the pieces necessary, giving you the chance to approve and / or amend the created image prior to dispatch.
Digital Mosaics
Because we continually create and evolve everything that we do, it becomes easier to see where new products and services can work with what we already do. Because right now, it feels even more important at this time than any we can remember. We need to do less things face to face and more digitally. If the current situation has taught us anything, it’s that we need to adapt to the ever changing new world.
As part of the mosaic making process we create a digital artwork as part of the package that you purchase. Thinking logically (and as customers have requested) it would seemingly make sense to add digital mosaics to our portfolio.
You still get the whole artwork creation process, so you can still approve and amend the finished article. However instead of a kit to make, you get a digital image which you can use for whatever you want.
It could be your next profile picture, a fun image to pop in a keyring, frame, a new avatar… the list goes on. You can shop our range of digital mosaics here
Green Ambition
The only plastic we’ll send you is the kit itself. No single use plastic bags or packaging materials. We’re only small, but we believe in being first in taking positive steps to help protect the environment.
We also made sure our packaging is 100% recyclable!
Had enough of your current design? Simply get in touch and we can look to redesign your bricture using the bricks you already have, or if required, send a small quantity of extra bricks to enable a new design.
